Today was day 75 of logging into MyFitnessPal. That means I've been tracking my food intake, exercise, weight and measurements for 7 weeks and 5 days! This is the longest I've stuck with anything. It isn't easy, especially since I've also discovered gluten irritates my system. So not only do I have to adjust my eating habits to fit within my calorie goals, but now I have to watch out for foods that make me ill. Some days are a lot easier than others, but some are extremely difficult. I dearly miss things like lasagna and mashed potatoes and french toast! Speaking of lasagna, I do have a fabulous Paleo version that uses thinly sliced zucchini in the place of noodles. I'll share that recipe sometime...
Last week I started heavy lifting, using the routines in The New Rules of Lifting for Women. I cant say I enjoy it yet, and I'm not seeing a lot of results from it since its only week two and lifting is only done 3 times a week. But I'll stick with the program. I also have my doubts about ending up looking like I'm built like a man but we'll see. The book swears I wont... I'm totally skeptical until I see proof.
I'm also hiking every weekend. Sunol Regional Wilderness Park is roughly 20 minutes from my home and is a beautiful place to hike. This weekend I'll be going to Yosemite so I'll be sure to post some of those photos too! Here's some photos from the last several weeks!
